New product launch from Outback Organics: Opal peelable wax

By Wax Daddy, Feb 22 2016 02:04PM

Hard to believe that it's been 3 years since the launch of the much-loved Gold peelable wax from Outback Organics, which has gone on to be the wax choice of many top spas and salons across the UK and overseas.

But nothing in this industry stays still for long, so I was thrilled to be asked to work with them again in the creation of the next generation of Outback stripless products: Outback Opal Wax.

I'm excited to say that we’ve kept all of the key benefits that therapists have come to love in Outback waxes (low melting point, pliability, ease of application and superb results) AND taken things to the next level with some clever twists.

First up: unlike the majority of hair removal waxes on the market, Opal Wax contains absolutely no pine rosin, making it especially suitable for ultra-sensitive skins and clients with colophony allergies (for example, those allergic to sticking plasters).

We've added a natural bioactive complex for good measure, composed of three indigenous Australian plums: Kakadu Plum, Illawarra Plum and Burdekin Plum. This innovative botanical cocktail has been shown to nourish and moisturise the skin with proven anti-oxidant, hydrating and collagen-stimulating properties.

Opal Wax is also 'vegan friendly' as it contains no beeswax, lanolin or other animal by-products.

In the treatment room, you'll notice its gel texture and exceptional fluidity enable a smooth, thin application, with none of the ‘strings’ or tackiness common with natural resin waxes. Less stickiness also means virtually no skin pull, for outstanding client comfort without compromising on results (it still gets all of those short and stubborn little hairs out!).

It smells great, with a subtle 'plum' scent, and I'm loving how easy it is to create clean edges and lift that first corner - no more picking required! In an inspired move, the dried wax even changes colour from dark to light mauve when ready to lift, taking the guesswork out of setting times for busy therapists.

You can probably tell that I'm already a fan! Outback Opal launches later this month at the Professional Beauty Show in London - come and try it for yourself on stand J25, 28th-29th February 2016. If you can't make it to the show, fret not: Outback Opal will be available to order online (www.outbackorganics.co.uk) and by telephone (01823 663322) from the beginning of March.

Wax on!

Hi Tracey, yes indeed, the new Opal wax is suitable for all face and body waxing, including intimate waxing :) I especially love the fact it sets so quickly, so it's particuarly great for those warmer parts of the body! Hope that helps. Andy
